What a wonderful evening at Celebrating Women’s Leadership! We are thrilled to share that the event raised $5,080 for Sarah’s Inn.
We were honored to present Illinois Senate Majority Leader Kimberly A. Lightford, representing Illinois’ 4th District, with the inaugural Forest Park Vital Voices Award. The award recognizes her leadership and contributions, and we were so pleased to celebrate her and have her with us for such a special evening.
Sarah’s Inn provides free, confidential support, advocacy, counseling, safety planning, and legal assistance to survivors of domestic violence and their children, while also working to prevent violence and educate communities.
The evening also featured amazing food from Chef Julianna Westgor of Table & Lain, along with great conversations and connections throughout the event.
A huge thank you to our incredible sponsors who helped make the evening and donation possible: Cardinal Advancement Services, Table & Lain, Village of Forest Park, team blonde, VIA, She Can Fix That, Swing Away Sports Club, Twisted Cookie Cookie Cafe, Mary Bromet, Megan Roach, and Debra Vines.
And a special thank you to our wonderful volunteers Shannon Wood, Monique Cotton Yancy, and April Baker for helping make the evening such a success.
We are grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, donated, and helped bring Celebrating Women’s Leadership to life. Thank you for helping us celebrate women’s leadership while supporting the important work of Sarah’s Inn.
