IWIL Training Academy’s Class of 2026

I’m honored to share that I’ve been selected to join the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership (IWIL) Training Academy’s Class of 2026.

IWIL Training Academy prepares Democratic, pro-choice women from across Illinois to run for office, serve in appointed roles, and lead effectively in their communities. Each year, only twelve women from around the state are chosen for this intensive eight-month program, which includes multi-day training sessions throughout Illinois and in Washington DC.

Through IWIL, I’ll be learning directly from campaign experts, elected officials, and leaders at every level of government. The curriculum covers everything from communications strategy to advanced fundraising techniques, along with hands-on opportunities to develop the skills needed to build a winning campaign and make a meaningful impact.

I’m grateful for the chance to grow, learn, and connect with this incredible network of women dedicated to strengthening representation in our state. Women are 51% of Illinois’ population, and IWIL’s mission to ensure our leadership reflects our communities is one I’m proud to be part of.

I’m excited for the journey ahead and look forward to bringing these skills back to serve our community.
